Heath MX Racing: A Solid Season
What started out as a family passion has, over the years, turned into a full fledged, "let's get out there and win", ATV motocross team. Heath MX Racing, based out of Southern Indiana, collected it's first national MX championship in 2006 when Corey Heath took the WPSA 50cc Junior title. Since then it's been a rise to the top for the Heath family and the Heath MX Racing's team members.
After posting his first national championship in 2008 at the AMA-ATV MX Championship in the 50cc Senior class, Corey Heath repeated the title bid in 2009 and, moving up during the 2010 season, won yet another national title.
With 5 wins out of the 11 round series, Corey added the 90 Automatic Junior (8-11) class national championship to his growing list of titles.
In the 50 Senior (6-8) ranks, young Eli Hopkins of West Point, VA amassed 4 wins and 4 seconds in the class and with his performance took home the National Championship for Heath MX Racing.
In 2007 Nolan Cochran, a Gastonia, NC based youth racer, won his first national title with a championship in the
50 Stock (4-6) class at the AMA-ATV Motocross Championship. As a member of Heath MX Racing in 2010, Nolan managed to take podium finishes in 7 of the 11 rounds, but, due to the fact that he wasn't able to attend 3 of the rounds this year, he had to settle for a 3rd place overall in the series' standings in the 70 SS (6-11) class.
All in all the 2010 Heath MX Racing youth team put in a solid season with the comprehensive results as follows:
